Hazwoper Safety Training

Hazwoper traini ng is required for those who are employed at workplaces that expose them to hazardous substances. There are many different levels of Hazwoper certification that range from 24 to 40 hours. The appropriate level of training required depends upon the job responsibilities the employee requires to perform. Hazwoper is an acronym for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response created by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. OSHA says that the Hazwoper training was put into place for assisting those workers who are exposed to hazardous substances to identify and respond correctly to environmental incidents. The initial Hazwoper training required should be taken as either a 40 hour course or a 24 hour course. The type of course depends upon your job role.
